Ecodesk kick starts complete supply chain carbon footprint solution to drive sustainability and transparency
Sustainable supply chain specialist Ecodesk has today launched KickStart a sustainability programme designed to help organisations overcome the daunting task of implementing supply chain sustainability initiatives for the first time.
The cloud-based KickStart programme is offering public and private SME organisations the opportunity to measure their entire supply chain for carbon emissions, and the analytical process takes just 72 hours.
By analysing an extract of a purchase ledger, Ecodesk can provide a carbon footprint of an entire supply chain by mapping purchase ledger data with leading Economic Input / Output (EIO) database CEDA®.
“We want to lower the barrier to entry for businesses and organisations that need to understand their supply chain impacts but are daunted by the sheer scale of the task or where to start,” said Mark Plant, CEO, Ecodesk.
“Supply chain sustainability programmes can be resource-intensive, taking time and money and as a result, they drop down the priority list despite customer demands and regulations for increased transparency. The aim of KickStart is to take the pain out of the process by providing organisations with a cloud-based supply chain sustainability service that delivers data on supply chain impacts quickly and provides a start point or base line for future sustainability initiatives.”
The Ecodesk KickStart programme is available at an introductory price of £5,000 plus VAT.
